  3. Once upon a time not so very long ago (as the song goes) a
  4. movie was released featuring (arguably) the greatest video
  5. game of all time... `Light Cycles'
  6.   
  7. Being the sad, socially inadequate adolescent git that I
  8. was, this film became an obsession for me and I embarked upon
  9. a teen-years quest to find the ultimate light cycles rip-off,
  10. one that captured perfectly that edge of the seat thrill
  11. experienced when watching the battle sequence in the movie.

  13. Well... I ain't found it yet (if YOU know of its existance
  14. let me know!!) but this here's MY contribution to the
  15. rabble - it's by no means brilliant but it's only my first
  16. tentative step into the big, ol' world of Amiga programming.
  17. (hopefully future releases will be better!)

  19. As for the instructions...  Aw, c'mon...  All you need to
  20. know is PRESS FIRE TO ACCELERATE, but watch your engine
  21. temperature - too hot an' you're fried pixels, bucko!

  23. This game is totally PD...  That means if you like it,
  24. distribute it!  It's free, dude!  However, I'd like to
  25. introduce a new concept in PD here:  "GIMMEware"
  26.  
  27. If, despite all reason, you're determined to reward all
  28. my weekends of hard work - DON'T fork out for a shareware
  29. fee, why not send 'us a copy of YOUR favourite PD title,
  30. be it game/anim/demo... whatever?  Any accompanying letters
  31. from fellow PD freaks will be answered too...

  33. If copying this game, be sure to include the FONTS directory
  34. as well as the .PIC files on this disk (i.e. use DOS copy
  35. or something like that...  Don't just drag the game icon
  36. to another window) or it won't work.
